City Updates Number Of Applicants For Police Chief

The City of Columbus says 36 people have applied for the job of police chief. 

The city initially announced 15 candidates, then added more people who applied through the city's web site. This is the first time the city can consider a candidatefrom outside of Columbus. Applicants include the interim chief, a police commander, an Uber driver, a karate instructor and a maintenance supervisor. Officials hope to choose a new chief early next year.
