Hilliard City Council last night withdrew a proposed ordinance that would create criminal penalties for feeding feral cats.
The measure was designed to help address the increasing feral cat population. But many community members opposed the plan. A council committee will gather additional feedback and devise another plan. A plan is expected to be ready for council action early next year.
