State prisons officials say two Madison Correctional Institute inmates are being treated at an area hospital for fentanyl exposure.
Officials say the substance was found Friday in the Transitional Program Unit. A guard was also treated for exposure. The affected area was evacuated for decontamination. A 2017 inspection report said efforts to curb illegal contraband coming into the prison need improvement.
