Lancaster police say an officer shot and killed a man who was holding a pizza shop employee hostage at knifepoint on Saturday.
No one else was hurt. Police say 31-year-old Troy Kirk failed to cooperate with their attempts to deescalate the situation. The shop's owner says the manager correctly held Kirk's attention while employees were able to escape. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation is now in charge of the case.
