Local Boy Scout Council Delays Sale Of Two Campsites

Facebook

The Simon Kenton Council's Board is moving to delay any sale of council owned properties, including two Boy Scout camps.

The board Thursday passed a resolution to stop any attempt to market, sell, or lease Chief Logan Reservation in Ross County and all but a 60-acre portion of Camp Lazarus in Delaware.  In November, a committee recommended the Chief Logan camp be closed, sold, or leased due to low use and outdated facilities.  An update on camp development plans will be presented in May.
