Columbus Zoo Announces Birth Of Two Cheetah Cubs Conceived Through In Vitro Fertilization

Columbus Zoo

Columbus zoo officials say for the first time, two cheetah cubs have been born through in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer to a surrogate mother.

The male and female cubs were born last Wednesday. The zoo say it could have broader implications for managing the species' population. Only  seven thousand animals are living in the wild.
