Monroe Mayor Jason Frentzel is pleading with operators of a megachurch to "reconsider" holding in-person services amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Solid Rock megachurch has continued to leave its doors open and hold in-person services despite calls from Governor Mike DeWine and advocacy groups to stop. Operators believe God will protect their paritioners. Church officials say they are having parishoners practice social distancing insideand are disinfecting their facilities before and after services. Many other churches are holding drive-up services, or offering services online.
