Report: White House Believes Columbus Could See Surge In COVID-19 Cases

State health officials say there are now more than 25 thousand confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Those include 45 hundred hospitalizations, with 12 hundred patients in intensive care. The state's death toll now stands at 1436. Meanwhile,  NBC is reporting the White House Coronavirus Task Force says Columbus is one of several cities that could see a surge in COVID-19 cases. Task Force data shows Columbus could see a week-to-week increase of more than ten-percent, with between 30 and 100 new positive cases per 100-thousand people.  Other cities on the list include Charlotte, North Carolina; Kansas City;  Minneapolis; Phoenix; and Visalia, California.
