A Columbus man has been sentenced to 41 months in prison for illegal gun possession out of a 2018 shooting in Weinland Park that injured two children.
Prosecutors say 28-year-old Keveante Smoot was in possession of a gun that was used during the shootings. 38-year-old Cornelius Allen also face federal firearms charges. Police say their DNA was recovered from the guns used in the shooting that injured one of the suspects, another man and two children. Police say the shooting at a reunionwas gang-related.
