Hip-hop artist Kanye West has filed the paperwork to appear as a presidential candidate on Ohio's ballot in November.
A representative for the rapper submitted nearly 15 thousand petition signatures and other paperwork to the Ohio Secretary of State's office. In order to qualify to run as an independent, West will need 5 thousand valid signatures from registered voter. The Wednesday filing comes a day after West withdrew his petition for candidacy in New Jersey. The Libertarian Party of Ohio also filed to put presidential candidate Jo Jorgensen on the November ballot.
