Franklin County Judge Passes Away From COVID-19 Complications

A Franklin County judge has died of complications from COVID-19.  

Judge William Pollitt was 72 years old. Pollitt earned a law degree from Capital University in 1974 and was appointed to the bench in 1996. He also played on Ohio State University's 1968 national champion football team.  Pollitt had dealt with respiratory illnesses for several years.  State health officials Thursday reported 1,178 new cases of COVID-19 and 21 new deaths. The state now has 105,426 cases 3,755 deaths.
