Two Suspects In OSU Campus Area Assaults Arrested

Franklin County Sheriff's Office

Ohio State University police have arrested two African-Americans following two assaults authorities say they are investigating as hate crimes.

Police say a white student was verbally and physically assaulted by 25-year-old Jarylle Walker Wednesday night at West 12th Avenue and College Road. One student sustained a broken jaw. Police say two other students reported being verbally and physically assaulted by 29-year-old Tereishia Finney the same night near Chittenden Avenue. No injuries are reported. Police filed court documents that say Walker and Finney can be seen on security footage in an altercation at Drinko Hall near the same time as the other incidents. Police say Walker can be seen following the student at which he later yelled a racial slur, and Finney can be seen swinging a lanyard with keys.
