An Ohio Highway Patrol trooper has been charged with raping a 17-year-old girl in Champaign County last June.
John McLeod faces rape, sexual battery and drug trafficking charges. Authorities say the trooper offered the alleged victim alcohol and a drug used to treat ADHD and binge-eating disorders. Authorities say the two knew each other. He's been placed on paid leave.
