DeWine Considering Loosening State's 10 P.M. Alcohol Curfew

Ohio Public Radio

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine says the state's ban on alcohol sales after 10 p.m. is under review, citing the hardship on bars and restaurants.

The ban was implemented in July to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Several big city mayors have asked that it stay in place, but Cincinnati unsuccessfully sought a waiver. At his COVID-19  press briefing Tuesday, DeWine said he’s hearing complaints from owners  the restriction is too early and is hurting their bottom lines, especially now that sporting events run later in the evening.
