The Ohio Supreme Court has rejected a request by news media organizations seeking the school records of the man who killed nine people in Dayton last year before being killed by police.
Plaintiffs argued the records could provide information on whether authorities in the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Local Schools properly handled warning signs from Connor Betts. The dstrict says the records are protected by privacy laws. The justices say state law is "unambiguous" in preventing the disclosure of such records.
