Franklin County is making CARES Act money available for families struggling to meet rent or facing eviction.
The Prevention, Retention and Contingency Program offers a one-time payment of up to 15 hundred dollars per month per household. Families that qualify may receive a payment for past due rent and one additional month.
Families must be at or below 300 percent of the federal poverty level with at least one child or pregnant woman in the household. The PRC program runs through Dec. 15 or until funding is gone.
Guidelines and application are available here.
