A former U.S. Postal Service letter carrier in Columbus has been sentenced to two years in federal prison for stealing and selling packages containing illicit drugs.

Prosecutors say 33-year-old Ricky Germany stole then sold 100 pounds of marijuana and methamphetamines from packages from California, Texas, and Arizona. Germany worked at the Oakland Park Station from 2013 through 2018.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
