DeVillers Launches Fentanyl Awareness Campaign

findawarenessproject.com

A new messaging campaign warns central Ohio residents about the deadly dangers of fentanyl.

U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio David DeVillers today announced the Fentanyl in Narcotic Drugs Awareness Project or FIND Awareness Project. Authorities say 84 percent of overdose deaths in Franklin County this year have involved fentanyl.

Billboards will be placed in the Columbus zip codes experiencing the highest rates of overdose fatalities.

The messages warn users about the prevalence of fentanyl in stimulants like cocaine and methamphetamine and in pressed pills like street Oxy and Xanax.

The signs also encourage the public to learn more about treatment and resources at FINDawarenessproject.com and FindTreatment.gov.
