On the new episode of Prognosis Ohio, part of the WCBE Podcast Experience, Dan Skinner talks with Scott Rider, an inspiring former Ohioan (but still “Buckeye for life”) living with Parkinson's Disease in Beaufort, South Carolina. Scott joined Dan at the WCBE studios on a recent trip back to Columbus to receive some care from his Ohio-based mobility specialist. In the interview, Scott reflects on his experience with Parkinson's, the state of support and research for those living with the disease, and some of the infrastructure challenges posed by the communities and homes in which people with mobility challenges can live. His gripping description of the moment he learned that he had Parkinson’s is something everybody who has received a devastating diagnosis can identify with.
