Authorities Seek Public's Help In Finding "Buckeye Bandit"

Federal Bureau of Investigation

The FBI and Columbus police are asking for help identifying a suspect in up to 20 bank robberies between 2013 and this year. Police say the man they call the 'buckeye bandit' is suspected in robberies in Columbus, Gahanna, Worthington, Upper Arlington and at Ohio State University. Authorities say he has worn Ohio State clothing during some of the heists. He is described as an African-American man, ages 25 to 30, around 6 feet tall and 180 to 200 pounds. The FBI and Crime Stoppers are offering rewards totalling 7 thousand dollars for information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect. The FBI has set up a tip line at 614–849–1896.
