Funeral services are pending for former Violet Township fire chief John Eisel, who passed away on Friday while vacationing with his family in Kentucky.
A cause of death has not been released. Eisel retired in 2014 after 25 years of service and was named township director of operations. The 55-year-old also served with the fire departments in Perry and Madison Townships.
