Franklin County Sheriff's deputies say a one-time Chief Counsel to the late Ohio Governor George Voinovich was killed early Saturday in a bicycling accident.
Deputies say 58-year-old local attorney Kurtis Tunnell of Hilliard was riding his bike in the 8400 block of Scioto Darby Creek Road when he was struck from behind by a suspected drunken driver. That vehicle's driver, 31-year-old Vincent Depalma, was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI. Tunnell died at a local hospital. An investigation continues.
