A Summit County judge has declared a mistrial in the case of an Akron man charged with two arson fires that killed nine people in 2016 and 2017.
Stanley Ford's trial was scheduled to resume Monday, but the judge surveyed jurors and determined they cannot proceed with a fair trial because of COVID-19 delays. A hearing on a possible new trial is scheduled for August. The trial was delayed several weeks.
