Queen City Vice Mayor Wants Council Members In Texting Scandal To Pay City's Legal Fees

Cincinnati Vice Mayor Chris Smitherman wants five City Council members to pay the city's legal fees and penalities for their text message scandal.

Smitherman's motion made on Tuesday requires P.G. Sittenfeld, Chris Seelbach, Tamaya Dennard, Wendell Young and Greg Landsman  - all Democrats - to pay 176 thousand dollars. The council members admitted in court this month they violated Ohio's open-meeting law by conducting city business via text messages.
