Descended from the giant sloths of the Ohio plains, Doug Dangler has spent his life pursuing Yeti and the perfect walnut-crusted cheeseball. He survives on twigs and berries in the wilds of Columbus, occasionally surfacing to conduct interviews with musicians, authors, and other creative types through a system of idiosyncratic grunts and whistles. But seriously, he’s a real person whose hobby is finding interesting people and having them talk about creativity. Dangler attended the University of Toledo, earning a BA in chemistry and biology. For nearly two decades, he’s managed the College of Arts and Sciences Digital Media Studio at The Ohio State University.

Dean Borg is an Iowa City based correspondent for Iowa Public Radio. He joined IPR in 2000, but his broadcast news career began at WOI Radio as an Iowa State University student. Later in Cedar Rapids, he led a 32-person news, sports, weather and farm radio and television staff for The WMT Stations. His experience includes daily coverage of the Iowa General Assembly, news and documentary reports from South Vietnam and the Paris Peace Talks, moderating nationally televised presidential candidate debates, and interviewing every President since John F. Kennedy.

Pat Blank has been with Iowa Public Radio for 27 years. She was hired as a reporter and eventually was chosen to host Morning Edition at the Cedar Falls studios in 1986. She has been host of All Things Considered since 1995. She is a nationally award-winning reporter who has also worked in commercial radio and television. Pat has served as a part-time instructor at Wartburg College and at the University of Northern Iowa, where she teaches journalism classes. She is on the Board of Control for UNI’s student run radio station, KULT. She is currently serving a second term on the Iowa Archives of Broadcasting National Advisory Board. Most recently, Pat was honored by receiving the Jack Shelley Award for Broadcast Excellence, in 2014.
