Red Roof: Revisioning the Future

Helping nurses and doctors during the pandemic. Assisting first responders as towns recover from natural disasters. Joining the fight against human trafficking. Red Roof’s evolution as a corporation is more than just another branding story. New president George Limbert believes leaders must guide their organizations into always doing what is right for customers but also for employees and communities. We plan on following George quarterly to better learn his vision, observe his evolution and growth as a leader, and study how he incorporates his principles into daily operations. In this introductory episode, George discusses his history and the steps he’s already taken to make Red Roof more people-centric in the midst of 2021’s radical viral, social, and economic changes.

George Limbert is the president of Red Roof, a leader in the lodging industry. He initially joined as Red Roof’s in-house General Counsel; today, he leads an organization with over 660 properties serving millions of guests each year in the United States, Brazil and Japan. George began a strategic transformation of the business, and is working to manage interdepartmental challenges, as well as create operational efficiencies. He is a member of the board of directors of the American Hotel and Lodging Association, which represents every segment of the lodging industry in the United States.
