Columbus Folk Music Society presents: "The Mighty Troubadours" LIVE in concert
Americana-style, lively bluegrass songs punctuated by soulful harmonies will fill the air Saturday January 28, as The Mighty Troubadours hit the stage at the latest monthly concert sponsored by the Columbus Folk Music Society. The show takes place at the Columbus Mennonite Church, 35 Oakland Park Avenue.
Featuring high-energy guitar, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, and bass, The Mighty Troubadours are a vocally-oriented string-band comprised of musicians Joey Gardina, Aaron Snyder, Isaiah Sparling, Kevin Hagans, and Glenn Rinehart. Playing an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary-style bluegrass covers and originals, this talented group has graced the stage (to a sold-out crowd!) at Natalie’s Grandview and at many other fabulous venues.
The Mighty Troubadours take the stage at 8 p.m.
But come earlier for other activities:
At 6:00, an informal folk music jam will be held where you can listen OR participate!
At 7:00, the coffeehouse will feature an open mic segment for 3 different folkie acts.
At 7:45 p.m. as a warm-up for the main concert, the audience will join in a folk music sing-along that always sparks a warm feeling of community.
A donation of $15 at the door is suggested, $10 for CFMS members.
