Mona's Eats & Treats, a Grove City ice cream stand and family restaurant that has served the community for more than 70 years, is excited to host its third annual free petting zoo event on Tuesday, June 30.

Horse N Round Fun will be bringing a variety of friendly farm animals for children and families to meet and interact with. The event is free to attend and open to the public. Based on attendance at previous years' petting zoos, the event is expected to draw hundreds of local families.

Originally opened in 1953, Mona's has been a Grove City tradition for generations of families. Today, Mona's serves soft serve and hard dip ice cream, sundaes, shakes, sandwiches, coney dogs, and other family favorites while continuing its long history of community involvement and support for local organizations including Little League Baseball, Buddy Ball, local schools, and youth sports programs.

The petting zoo will be set up on the grounds at Mona's, giving children a chance to get up close with a variety of animals while families enjoy a summer afternoon together.

"We started this event as a way to give back to the community that has supported us over the years," said Matthew Groves, owner of Mona's Eats & Treats. "Now in its third year, it's become one of our favorite traditions. We love seeing families come together and create memories here."
