This workshop will help writers identify, build, and present their platforms on social media and Substack to grow followers, keep audiences engaged, and reach their ideal readers, agents, and publishers.

Social media guru Diane Callahan and Substack expert Amy Turn Sharp will share easy, actionable plans and best practices for building an engaged social media and Substack following capable of generating work opportunities and winning over industry decision-makers. From choosing a platform and handle to learning how to draw readers in and boost views, writers of all genres will walk away with newfound social savvy.

Experience Blooms & Butterflies in the Pacific Island Water Garden, where hundreds of exotic butterflies glide through bright nectar flowers. As you wander the garden, you’ll see butterflies feeding, resting, and gliding through the air in an ever-changing display of color and movement. Don’t miss the Metamorphosis Lab, where you can watch butterflies take their very first flight as they emerge from their chrysalises throughout the day.

All aboard! The Paul Busse Garden Railway is arriving at the Conservatory station.

Guests can journey with the trains through a miniature world of 51 botanical models made from all-natural plant material. Special elements to add to your itinerary include an enchanted tree hollow, two waterfalls, a bubbling brook and plantings specific to each themed destination.

A dazzling celebration of spring! More than 140,000 tulips, daffodils, and pansies throughout the gardens and container displays combine with stars of the botanical garden. Magnolias, lilacs, cherries, viburnum, and thousands of perennials bring an exciting burst of scents and colors after a long winter slumber.

Plants bloom throughout the season starting in March and continuing through the following months.

Some of the coolest riders and sharpest bikes in the city roll into Our Haus on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays from April through September — and we love hosting the crew.
