Oct 16 Thursday
Best way to have fun while making new friends. Whether you've never done improv before or you're a seasoned veteran, come on out and play some games with us at Gresso's!
The idea behind improv is to create entire comedy scenes from scratch, similar to Whose Line Is It Anyway. In addition to being a lot of fun, it also offers lessons in everything from communication to thinking on your feet.
The meetup will be either on the second floor or Gresso's or in the basement (we'll post an update shortly before the start of each meetup). Stay afterward for a drink and/or some food with people!
Join us every Thursday for West Coast Swing class and practice!

Heavenly Bodies An Immersive Theatrical ExperienceOnce upon a time in 1962, there was a lonely house tucked deep in the forest. The closest evidence of civilization only found on thinly paved country roads. It once served as a boarding house for those in need; those downtrodden and suffering with vices far too taboo for the quiet Christian towns they came from. This house was a sanctuary for those lost souls searching for a chance to be found again. At first it was celebrated by the larger community of the neighboring village but when strange rumors began to surface of bizarre goings on within, opinions shifted. Then something terrible happened; 6 people wound up missing-- all tenants of Birch House. Stories of lust, loss, and mortal sin were whispered between neighbors, but no one knows exactly what happened on this desolate property. Some say that if you listen closely, you can still hear the moans of orgasms echoing from the past...
Staying true to the Dirty Words literary nature, Heavenly Bodies is inspired by literature and storytelling taken directly from real vintage Penthouse letters, extremist erotic pros from the French poet Pierre Louys, and a little bit of blasphemy straight from the Bible for good measure. We take what we read and spin those stories into a fully fleshed world. One you will likely become completely lost within. Let yourself be whisked away into the world of the Dead. Do not expect a stage; do not even expect to remember who you are. Heavenly Bodies is a portal into worlds beyond The Viel. You will leave transformed.
Heavenly Bodies will run for two nights; October 31st and November 1st. Doors open at 6:30 PM.
Must be 18+ to attend.
