About the Artist:
Christianee (pronounced Chris-tee-knee) Porter also known as The Christi Show is a proud native of Little Rock, Arkansas who currently resides in Atlanta Georgia. She is an entertainer that loves to act, sing, rap, and dance. In 2013, she decided to do Stand-Up Comedy. Christianee enjoyed performing on stage but became exhausted from fighting for a spot on the stage. She decided to start making Improv videos online as different characters. In July 2016, her character Ms. Shirleen went viral, and she started traveling the country performing Stand-Up comedy and singing as her. She has been seen on TVOne Sisters’ Circle and Fox’s Right This Minute, and Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Family Funeral. She was recently nominated for a NAACP Image Award, and she is daily blazing a trail for others to find the courage to follow their dreams. Christianee’s life is proof that sometimes your dreams can come true if you are willing to change your approach to achieving them. It is highly recommended that you keep following her story because it is one that is becoming legendary by the minute.

All aboard! The Paul Busse Garden Railway is arriving at Conservatory station.

9 G scale model trains travel across 1,122 feet of track that runs high and low through themed destinations: Fairytale Land, Wild West Town, European Travels and the animal-centric Who Lives Here.

Guests can journey with the trains through a miniature world of 51 botanical models made from all-natural plant material. Special elements to add to your itinerary include an enchanted tree hollow, two waterfalls, a bubbling brook and plantings specific to each themed destination.

Walk in or book now to come into the studio to paint on canvas, ceramics, wood and more! You can choose a project when you get here, or preorder from the Shop. The project price includes everything you need to complete your project and get help from an artist as you need it. This allows everyone to choose something within their budget. If you don't finish in your allotted time or our open hours, just take it home, bring it back at no extra cost when we are open. Policy: We are a BYOB Studio. Bring your favorite drinks. You may bring in any food items you desire and can have meals delivered.

Fall evenings during Pumpkins Aglow offer bewitching scenes and spooky surprises. These family-friendly events occur 5-9pm Wednesdays, Thursdays & Sundays and 5-10pm Fridays & Saturdays during October 7-11, 14-18, 21-25 & 28-Nov 1

Discover more than 700 hand-carved pumpkins glowing throughout themed displays—pirates, creepy crawly spiders, under the sea mermaids, and even aliens landing among the leaves. Each pumpkin is creatively carved by our talented Conservatory staff, volunteers and members. Wander, wonder, and don’t miss a photo at the iconic pumpkin house!

A variety of nightly food trucks, beer/wine/dessert/hot items from the Garden Café and the Watershed Bar will be open.

Best way to have fun while making new friends. Whether you've never done improv before or you're a seasoned veteran, come on out and play some games with us at Gresso's!

The idea behind improv is to create entire comedy scenes from scratch, similar to Whose Line Is It Anyway. In addition to being a lot of fun, it also offers lessons in everything from communication to thinking on your feet.

The meetup will be either on the second floor or Gresso's or in the basement (we'll post an update shortly before the start of each meetup). Stay afterward for a drink and/or some food with people!

Join us for this free screening of the documentary film “Women Laughing,” followed by a conversation with veteran New Yorker cartoonist Liza Donnelly and James Thurber’s granddaughter Sara Thurber Sauers.

In “Women Laughing,” Liza Donnelly sets out to explore her lifelong passion for women’s humor and cartooning by speaking, laughing, and drawing with a diverse group of remarkable women who create cartoons for the iconic magazine. Inspired by her acclaimed book Very Funny Ladies and Liza’s own biography, the film also looks back at the fascinating history and evolution of single panel cartoons—from the 1920s, to the present—and reveals how far women have come in a field historically dominated by men.

Liza Donnelly is a writer and award-winning cartoonist with The New Yorker Magazine, where she has been drawing cartoons and writing about culture and politics for forty years. She has contributed to CBS News and CNN, creating political cartoons as well as live-drawing special cultural and political events. Donnelly writes and draws for The New York Times and CNN Opinion pages and The Washington Post. Liza is also a screenwriter working on her third feature film.
