Adult Writers’ Studio is a welcoming and creative community of writers 18+ who gather to share and discuss their writing, participate in generative exercises, provide/receive feedback about each other’s work, engage in topical discussions, and support each other through peer motivation and kind, constructive criticism. Led by writer and facilitator Diane Callahan, Adult Writers’ Studio: Elevate Your Writing meets in-person every other Tuesday at Thurber Center.

Experience Blooms & Butterflies in the Pacific Island Water Garden, where hundreds of exotic butterflies glide through bright nectar flowers. As you wander the garden, you’ll see butterflies feeding, resting, and gliding through the air in an ever-changing display of color and movement. Don’t miss the Metamorphosis Lab, where you can watch butterflies take their very first flight as they emerge from their chrysalises throughout the day.

Some of the coolest riders and sharpest bikes in the city roll into Our Haus on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays from April through September — and we love hosting the crew.

Ride in, hang out, and enjoy the energy of Euro Bike Night.

Best way to have fun while making new friends. Whether you've never done improv before or you're a seasoned veteran, come on out and play some games with us at Gresso's!

The idea behind improv is to create entire comedy scenes from scratch, similar to Whose Line Is It Anyway. In addition to being a lot of fun, it also offers lessons in everything from communication to thinking on your feet.

The meetup will be either on the second floor or Gresso's or in the basement (we'll post an update shortly before the start of each meetup). Stay afterward for a drink and/or some food with people!

About the Artist:
A Seattle native now suffering in Southern California, Dustin Nickerson is an in demand comic on the rise. In 2020, he released his debut comedy special Overwhelmed which is currently one of the highest rated specials on Amazon Prime Video. In addition, he’s been featured on Comedy Central and Netflix by Kevin Hart, the Late Late Show with James Corden, Fox, Hulu and can regularly be heard on Sirius Radio XM. Online, his stand-up clips and jokes have received tens of millions of views and his podcast, Don’t Make Me Come Back There, has over a million downloads. He’s also the author of How to be Married be Married to Melissa, an Amazon #1 New Release published by Harper Collins in June 2022. Dustin describes himself as “the world’s most average person” but is far from it when on stage. He brings you into his life through his jokes about the struggles of parenting, marriage, and being generally annoyed by most people. At 38 years old, Dustin has been married for 18 years and has three kids. This helps makes Dustin truly one of the most unique voices in the comedy scene.

Ticket Policy:The Funny Bone has a full bar and a dinner menu that is available in our cafe and through your server when you are seated in the showroom!
Seating is done based on the date and time you purchased tickets, so we encourage you to purchase early.
Most of our tables seat 4 people. You may be seated with a separate party of guests at the same table.
If you wish to sit with another party, please contact our box office prior to showtime.
All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges. Sales tax and service fees are included in the ticket price.
