Adult Writers’ Studio is a welcoming and creative community of writers 18+ who gather to share and discuss their writing, participate in generative exercises, provide/receive feedback about each other’s work, engage in topical discussions, and support each other through peer motivation and kind, constructive criticism. Led by writer and facilitator Diane Callahan, Adult Writers’ Studio: Elevate Your Writing meets in-person every other Tuesday at Thurber Center.

Best way to have fun while making new friends. Whether you've never done improv before or you're a seasoned veteran, come on out and play some games with us at Gresso's!

The idea behind improv is to create entire comedy scenes from scratch, similar to Whose Line Is It Anyway. In addition to being a lot of fun, it also offers lessons in everything from communication to thinking on your feet.

The meetup will be either on the second floor or Gresso's or in the basement (we'll post an update shortly before the start of each meetup). Stay afterward for a drink and/or some food with people!

About the Artist:
Andy Haynes is a standup and writer based in New York City. He has appeared on Late Nite with Jimmy Fallon, Conan, James Corden, Comedy Central, HBO, and he’s been a featured guest on You Be Trippin with Ari Shaffir, Stuff Island, Stavvy’s World and the Adam Friedland show. His Don’t Tell Comedy Set has over a million views and remains one of the most viewed of all time. He has performed at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, as well as SXSW, Moontower, New York Comedy and Sketchfest festivals, and has opened for Tim Dillon, Mark Normand, Hasan Minhaj, and Ronnie Chieng. The Funny Bone has a full bar and a dinner menu that is available in our cafe and through your server when you are seated in the showroom!
Seating is done based on the date and time you purchased tickets, so we encourage you to purchase early.
Most of our tables seat 4 people. You may be seated with a separate party of guests at the same table.
If you wish to sit with another party, please contact our box office prior to showtime.
All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges. Sales tax and service fees are included in the ticket price.
