Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Special

On April 18, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum welcomed its newest class with an induction ceremony in Cleveland.

This year's class featured Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, Green Day, the "5" Royales, Lou Reed, Bill Withers and Ringo Starr.  Mike Foley and Jack Marchbanks attended the ceremony and produced this special, which aired on Memorial Day. We love music and truly enjoyed putting this program together. Thanks for listening. Remember that HBO begins airing the full ceremony May 30. We'll be watching it over and over.

Mike Foley joined WCBE in February 2000, coming from WUFT in Gainesville, Florida. Foley has worked in various roles, from producing news and feature stories to engineering Live From Studio A sessions. A series of music features Foley started in 2018 called Music Journeys has grown into a podcast and radio show. He also assists in developing other programs in WCBE's Podcast Experience. Foley hosts The Morning Mix, a weekday music show featuring emerging and established musicians, our Columbus-area and Ohio-based talent, and additional artists that inspire him.
Jack Marchbanks grew up in Dayton during the 1970s funk explosion in Southwestern Ohio. Grounded in R&B and rock, Marchbanks came to appreciate jazz much later in life. But, as the saying goes, converts make the most zealous advocates.
