FEC Dismisses Complaint Against CMC

The Federal Election Commission has dismissed a complaint that claimed the Ohio Republican and Democratic parties illegally accepted corporate donations from the Columbus Metropolitan Club because their leaders debated each other last May. In a news release, the commission says the complaint was dismissed because the Club spent only 28 hundred dollars on the debate. The complaint filed by a Capital University professor said the event excluded the Green, Libertarian, Constitution, and Socialist parties.
