Arraignment is scheduled next week for a Columbus man who allegedly raped a woman at an East side COTA bus stop while she held her small child in her arms. 34-year-old Ronald Ayers has been indicted on rape, kidnapping, and weapons charges. Prosecutors say Ayers assaulted the 27-year-old woman on October 21st near North Ohio Avenue and East Long Street. Prosecutors say Ayers, who is being held on 2 million dollars bond, has a lengthy criminal record.
