Mumps Cases Confirmed In Twelve Ohio Counties

The number of cases of mumps in Central Ohio has risen to 111, with 89 linked to Ohio State University.

The Ohio Department of Health reports cases in Franklin, Fairfield, Hamilton, Licking, Union, Ashland, Butler, Coshocton, Lucas, Medina, Pike and Richland Counties. Delaware County health officialsare investigating seven suspected cases. Three are students in the Olentangy Local School District.  Officials continue searching for the cause of the outbreak.
