The Ohio Attorney General's Office says more than 14 tons of unwanted prescription medications were disposed of last Saturday during National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. The effort launched by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration provided residents with a safe, anonymous way to dispose of pills and other medications. Seven previous events removed more than 3.4 million pounds of medication from circulation. DEA officials say 40 percent of teens who have misused or abused a prescription drug got it from their parents' medicine cabinet.
