The Ohio Department of Natural Resources has posted warning signs along Grand Lake St. Mary's, where toxic algae blooms have been found again this year. Department officials have been testing near lake beaches this week after measurements of a liver toxin associated with the algae began to increase last month. The water tested above the safety limit. The blooms feed on phosphorous from raw sewage and farm runoff.
