An environmental group is rekindling debate over the controversial communications strategy the state crafted with oil and gas drillers about fracking on on state-owned land. Alison Auciello is with Food and Water Watch. She says the Ohio Department of Natural Resources continued to craft the strategy to promote fracking longer than originally reported. She says ODNR claimed it stopped its discussion on the plan in August 2012. But she says she has documents showing correspondence continued into November of that year. The plan was first brought to light in February.
The Kasich administration says the plan was never implemented and ODNR stresses it will not allow fracking on state land for the foreseeable future.
