Summit County prosecutors are asking a judge to again imprison former Akron police captain Douglas Prade, who is fighting a ruling that reinstated his conviction for killing his ex-wife. The Ohio Supreme Court on Wednesday decided not to hear his appeal. Prade served 15 years in prison before a judge ordered him released last year on the basis of bite-mark DNA testing. An appeals court earlier this year ruled the testing raised more questions than answers, and Prade's original conviction was based on overwhelming circumstantial evidence.
