A play based on the case of two Steubenville high school football players convicted of raping a 16-year-old girl is set to debut at the University of Michigan today. The play entitled "Good Kids" is the first commissioned work for the Big Ten Theatre Consortium's New Play Initiative. It explores the public aftermath of a sexual assault and its cover-up among students at a Midwest high school. The play is running in conjunction with a school-led sexual assault prevention campaign. Post-performance guided discussions, role-playing exercises and expert lectures are some of the tools that will be used to generate awareness and conversations.
