A report by the Brookings Institution ranks Columbus’ economic performance 273rd among the world’s 300 largest economies last year. The Columbus region ranked 95th in 2013. The rankings are based on estimates compiled by Moody’s Analytics concerning economic growth per person and percentage gain in jobs. The report says the value of Columbus’ goods and services fell 1.3 percent to nearly 51 thousand dollars per person last year. Employment growth was 0.4 percent, well below the 1.6 percent average rate among American cities in 2013.
