Ohio Governor John Kasich hopes to deliver the annual State of the State address in Wilmington, a rebounding city hard hit by job losses during the Great Recession. The governor's office requested the site and speech date of February 24th in a letter to lawmakers. The selection continues Kasich's tradition of taking his signature speech outside Columbus and into the backyards of key state lawmakers. Kasich's 2014 address was made in Medina.
