The parents of a worker killed when a highway overpass collapsed in Cincinnati last month are suing the Ohio Department of Transportation. 35-year-old Brandon Carl died January 19 during demolition work of the Hopple Street overpass along I-75. The lawsuit claims the department was negligent and breached its duty of care by allowing improper and unsafe conditions at the site for work it contracted with Westerville-based Kokosing Construction to peform.
