Springfield High School Football Player's Killer Sentenced

The man who pleaded guilty to charges of killing a Springfield High School football player was sentenced yesterday to 33 years to life in prison. Tyrin Hawkins was convicted earlier of killing 17-year-old Jeff Wellington Junior last Easter when the victim tried to break up a fight between two groups of teenagers.
