Former Steubenville Schools Employee Sentenced In 2012 Rape Case

Jefferson County Sheriff's Office

Prosecutors say the remaining charges related to the rape of a 16-year-old girl by two Steubenville High School football players have been resolved with a guilty plea by a former school district employee. Former technology director William Rhinaman has pleaded guilty to a charge of obstructing official business. A judge sentenced Rhinaman to 90 days in jail, with 80 days suspended if probation is completed. Three other charges, including perjury, were dropped. Rhinaman is one of six adults indicted by a grand jury looking into whether other crimes were broken in the rape of the West Virginia girl in August 2012. Charges against the other adults have been resolved.
