A Franklin County judge has accepted a reprimand from the Ohio Supreme Court for scolding jurors who issued a verdict she believed to be wrong. The justices say Amy Salerno violated a rule requiring judges to behave in ways to promote the judiciary's integrity and impartiality. They say she also violated a rule barring judges from commenting on verdicts except in a court order or opinion. Jurors issued a not-guilty verdict in 2013 in a misdemeanor assault case. Several jurors complained that Salerno told them they were wrong.
