The Ohio Supreme Court has dismissed a lawsuit filed by an abortion rights group over a public records request seeking communication between the Ohio Department of Health and an anti-abortion organization. The NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio Foundation asked the court last week to dismiss the case, saying it had received the records through mediation. The court granted the dismissal Monday. In late October, NARAL asked for documents showing phone calls and emails between Ohio Right to Life leaders and state health officials. The department declined the request, saying it was too broad and lacking enough information to identify the records.
