State To Implement New Standards For Police

A set of statewide standards will soon be in place for Ohio police officers. Governor John Kasich and members of his task force on community-police relations have announced plans to enact uniform rules for hiring, training and use-of-force.

State Public Safety Director and task force member John Born says officials are also working on other items.

Kasich and Born says the standards are being put together with information collected during several public hearings held around the state.
